Ogurayama by Yamamasa Koyamaen
Ogurayama is one of Yamamasa Koyamaen’s most popular everyday matchas and a great starting point for anyone starting on their matcha journey.
Its flavour is smooth and balanced, with a creamy texture, mellow umami and light sweetness. Compared with Shikibu no Mukashi, it is less umami heavy and has a lighter everyday character.

Brewing Tip
Yamamasa Koyamaen’s recommends preparation with1.5g of matcha, 70ml water at 70-80°C. Ogurayama can also be used for matcha lattes, use 3-4g of matcha with 40ml of water.
